FAQ

Mister Springman FAQ For Homeowners

Q: What exactly does Mister Springman do?
A: Mister Springman provides scheduled home checks and light preventative maintenance for homeowners who want peace of mind without spending their weekends managing small tasks. The focus is on consistency, early detection, and care—not repairs or renovations.

Q: Is this a handyman service?
A: No. Mister Springman is a home stewardship and home watch service, not a traditional handyman. Large repairs, remodels, and licensed trade work are outside the scope of service.

Q: What’s included in a typical visit?
A: Each visit includes a structured walkthrough covering doors, windows, HVAC filters, moisture indicators, lighting, safety items, exterior visuals, and light micro-tasks using homeowner-provided materials. A summary is provided after each visit.

Q: How often do you visit?
A: Most clients choose monthly visits, which allow for early issue detection and ongoing familiarity with the home. Monthly service is the recommended option.

Q: Do you offer one-time visits?
A: Yes. One-time visits are available for immediate or isolated needs, but they cost twice the monthly rate, are scheduled as availability allows, and do not include priority access or ongoing oversight.

Q: Why is a membership better than a one-time visit?
A: Membership provides priority scheduling, predictable routing, consistent oversight, and familiarity with the home—allowing small issues to be caught before they become costly problems.

Q: Do I need to be home during visits?
A: No. Many clients are at work or traveling. As long as access is arranged, visits are completed and documented without the homeowner present.

Q: What neighborhoods do you serve?
A: Service is limited to Jacksonville’s historic neighborhoods: Riverside, Avondale, Ortega, Ortega Forest, Fairfax, Venetia, and San Marco.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. Mister Springman is fully insured for the services provided.

Q: What services are not included?
A: Major repairs, licensed trade work (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), roof work, high-risk ladder tasks, and emergency after-hours repairs are not provided.

Q: How do I get started?
A: Choose a membership or one-time visit, schedule your first visit, and enjoy consistent oversight and peace of mind.
